How do we work?

You should see tracking events within 24-48 hours after you have received the confirmation by your merchant or online shop. The reason it takes time to see tracking events is because the first event is created once the shipment is handed to us, i.e. once the shipment has departed the fulfillment center of your merchant or online shop.

Why is my shipment status unchanged?

For most shipments, we provide only milestone tracking which means it may take some time before a new tracking event is displayed. Your package continues to travel to its destination despite the time between the tracking events. Depending on the destination, it could also take time to arrive in the destination country due to the distance and transit time of the selected service.

Where do you ship freight to?

Everywhere! Atlantic Postal Forwarding works with more companies and in more countries than any other logistics specialist. We have a truly global presence, and skilled employees local to you.

What Is a Tracking Number & Where Can I Find It?

A tracking number or ID is a combination of numbers and possibly letters that uniquely identifies your shipment for national or international tracking.

Usually, the shipper or online shop is able to provide the tracking number or ID. If you have ordered a product in an online shop, the confirmation email or shipment tracking notification often contains the tracking number or ID.
If not, please contact your shipper or online shop.

How much does it cost to ship freight?

The cost will depend on the origin country, destination country, how much the shipment weighs and how quickly you want it to arrive. The best way to estimate the cost is to get a quote for a one-off shipment through our Quote + Book tool.

How long does it take for freight shipments to be delivered?

There are many factors that go into the delivery times. Check out the estimated transit times for Air Freight and our LCL Sailing schedule to find the next available Ocean Freight departures between your preferred ports.

Do you ship dangerous goods?

Yes, we do ship certain types of dangerous goods. For more information about what we ship, review our dangerous goods/hazardous materials policy.

Does my international freight shipment need to go through customs?

Before it is loaded onto its containership and after unloading at its destination port, your shipment must go through customs. Whether you are the shipper or the consignee, you will most likely be responsible for the import or the export customs clearance and the payment of duties (also referred to as “tariffs”) for your shipment. Depending on the selected Incoterms®, you may even need to take care of both.

It is best to your responsibilities for customs clearance with your overseas partner prior to shipping.
